Troubleshooting Network Connection Issues

Last updated

Check your speed

  1. Test at speedtest.net on the same device you’re watching on.
  2. Compare to our recommended speeds (aim for 5 Mbps+ for HD).

Improve your Wi-Fi

  • Use 5GHz Wi-Fi and keep the router in open space, elevated if possible.
  • Reduce interference (move away from microwaves, thick walls, baby monitors).
  • Limit other heavy downloads/streams on the network.
  • Try Ethernet for TVs/streamers if available.

Router tips

  • Power-cycle the modem/router (unplug 30 seconds, then plug back in).
  • Update router firmware; consider enabling QoS for streaming devices.
  • Use separate SSIDs for 2.4GHz and 5GHz; connect streaming devices to 5GHz.
  • Disable VPNs/Proxies or restrictive DNS; test with your ISP’s default DNS.

Device tips

  • Restart your phone/TV/computer.
  • Close background apps that might use bandwidth.
  • On Android TV: Settings → Apps → Classix → Clear cache.
  • On web: try another browser and ensure hardware acceleration is on.
Tip: If speeds are fine but buffering persists, try another title to rule out a specific asset problem, then contact support.
